Ribbon Cutting at MO State Highway Patrol Firing Range

GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. (Gredell Engineering) attended the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Outdoor Firing Range on December 23, 2020.  Gredell Engineering was the lead designer for the approximately $2,000,000 complex.  The complex includes a 150-yard rifle range, a 50-yard pistol range, a 50-yard combination range, a dynamic entry training facility (shoot house), a 2,500 square foot classroom building, an explosives detonation area, and paved parking lots and drives.  Each shooting range features ten firing lines and an adjacent pavilion.  The classroom includes seating for 40+ students, restrooms, and a general storage area.  37,000 cubic yards of soil was moved during construction of the 11 acre facility.

Gredell Engineering was contracted by the State of Missouri Office of Administration to conduct schematic studies in 2016.  Design of the facility began in 2019, construction started in December 2019, and was completed in December 2020.  GBH Builders, Inc. of Jefferson City was the general contractor.  Gredell key staff on this project include Bruce Dawson, P.E. (pictured above fourth from left), Zachary Troesser, P.E., Thomas R. Gredell, P.E., John N. Browning, P.E., and Connie M. Walden, E.I. Subconsultants included The Architects Alliance, Allstate Consultants, Central Missouri Professional Services, Midwest Engineering & Design, and The Schematic Connection.
