Environmental Engineering & Consulting Services

Gredell Engineering is one of Missouri’s top engineering consultants in the areas of solid waste management, preliminary and detailed site investigations for environmental permits, permitting for environmental protection, operational consulting for regulated facilities and regulatory consulting. We have completed local, state and federal permit applications, preliminary and detailed site investigations and final designs for various commercial and industrial facilities across the state of Missouri. At Gredell Engineering, we apply a broad array of regulatory compliance and technical assistance services for utilities, industry, public agencies and private developers. Our resume includes the preparation of annual compliance calendars, environmental audits, annual and semi-annual air permit reports and emission inventory questionnaires, and employee training for utility waste management, municipal and commercial entities. Our services also include the preparation of project specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) performed by Gredell Engineering follow the current Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines outlined in 40 CFR Part 312 Standards and Practices for All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) and the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) guidelines. Services include the review of regulatory databases; land title records, liens and easements; site visits; interviews; and site characterizations consisting of the collection of soil and groundwater samples. Gredell Engineering has diverse environmental experience related to hazardous waste, environmental auditing, environmental emergency response, and compliance assistance related to Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) treatment, storage and disposal (TSD) facilities. Services include RCRA generator registration assistance, TSD permitting, preparation of remediation and site characterization work plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), and Health and Safety Plans (HASP). Our hazardous waste services include field support, environmental sampling, monitoring and quality control observation, toxic release inventory (TRI) reporting, and assistance with the necessary applications required to obtain local, state and federal permits. Gredell Engineering has the knowledge and experience providing the services related to petroleum leaking underground storage tanks (LUSTs) and aboveground storage tanks. Our staff have a thorough understanding of Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and Missouri Department of Agriculture (MDA) rules, regulations, policies and procedures; the Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund (PSTIF); and the Missouri Risk-based Corrective Action (MRBCA) Petroleum Storage Tank guidance document to execute assigned duties and interact with MDNR and MDA personnel in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) plan preparation is another service we can provide at Gredell Engineering. In accordance with the requirements of 40 CFR Part 112, these services include a substantial harm criteria evaluation; site evaluation; inventory, type and contents of oil storage containers; discharge prevention measures and drainage controls; secondary containment evaluations; spill response countermeasures; and personnel training.
