UST SERVICES
Johnson
County: Underground Storage
Tank (UST) removal, closure and on-site management at a high security
U.S. Air Force Base. Federal contracts were secured, health and
safety
plans were developed and removal of UST’s and backfill occurred
without
disrupting the daily operation of the Air Force Base.
Polk County:
Site Characterization and Risk Assessment of former Aboveground
Storage
Tank (AST) bulk plant. Soil borings were advanced, samples
collected
and monitoring wells were installed to collect groundwater
samples.
Current and future use of property and surrounding properties were
evaluated for potential exposure to the environmental impact found
from
the sample results and a No Further Action Letter was requested from
the
Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Statewide:
Performed over 50 “sufficiently impervious” evaluations across the
State. This engineering evaluation is required by the Missouri
Department of Agriculture for AST secondary containment systems that
are
made of earthen materials or other materials that may need an
engineering report to determine if the system can be judged
“sufficiently impervious” for the material being stored.
Gredell
Engineering has developed a report format that addresses every concern
identified in both the Missouri Department of Agriculture regulations
and the Steel Tank Institute definition of “sufficiently
impervious” to
fulfill the needs of our clients and satisfy the regulatory
authority.
